When the so called “authorities” didn’t like what Jesus was doing they went up and demanded from Him, “By what authority are You doing these things?” and “Who gave you this authority?”  The answer has everything to do with who Jesus is.  Unless you believe that He came “from heaven” and is the Christ, the Son of God, you will not understand that He acts and speaks by divine authority.
