In the Gospel for today we read that John the Baptist is in prison facing the death penalty and he has doubts. He is wondering if Jesus is the one they have been waiting for or should they expect someone else. What this says about John is even though he was the forerunner of Christ, preparing the way for Him, he still had doubts like the rest of us. So who did he turn to in that moment of doubt?  He turned to the only one who could help him overcome his doubts. He turned to Jesus.
