Have you noticed that people often have selective memory?  They remember what they want to remember and forget everything else.  When people get older, for some people, they remember events and places long in the past but can’t remember what they just said or did.  In our Old Testament reading the writer remembers God’s saving mercy for His people but His people quickly forget what God has done for them and live anyway they please.  Thankfully, God in His mercy has caused His wonders to be remembered when we turn back to Him in faith.
