“Teacher, Don’t You Care if We Perish?”

Passage: Mark 4:35-41

"Do You not care that we are perishing?" The disciples' question resonates with anyone who has ever wondered if there is anyone who truly, personally cares about the struggles, troubles, and fears of our lives. When you face a stormy time of life, it can seem that everyone else is just going along happily with no troubles. It can seem that no one cares. However, Jesus does care and calms the storm by saying, “Quiet! Be Still!” The winds ceased and everything was calm, and yet the disciples were even more afraid of the One who could do such a thing. The truth is, Jesus does an even greater miracle for those who are perishing by dying and rising for our salvation.
