In the Gospel for today we read about Jesus’ feeding, not with a banquet of food but with a meal of fish and bread to about 5,000 men not counting women and children.  And what’s amazing is that He did it with only 5 loaves of bread and two fish.  Jesus miraculously fed all the people and once more our text says in verse 20, “That they all ate and were satisfied.”  Today we will be reminded that God not only gives us what we need to live on earth but more importantly God gives us what we need to satisfy our souls.
